• Breeders - we are able to increase success rates by identifying which weanlings and yearlings to keep and which to sell, and optimise bloodstock management (e.g. by identifying mares that are less likely to produce top performers).

• Buyers - at public auctions, or during private purchase, objective analysis of conformation, heart and lungs, together with genetic profiling and traditional evaluation will significantly increase the likelihood to identify potential top performers.

• Owners & Trainers - we are able to continuously assess your horses during its development during training and racing on basis of a number of key performance criteria, which will allow you to determine the most viable (and profitable) racing and exit strategy for each horse.

Our technology & tools

Drawing on 30 years' study and experience of the physiology of race horses at the highest level, Holmstroem Thoroughbred Management, in cooperation with Equine Analysis Systems makes use of a combination of proprietary tools in assessing potential performance. An objective approach to horse racing

Racing ability is dependent on many factors, of which some, such as nutrition, jockey and track conditions, are largely independent of the individual horse. Other factors, such as potential class, optimum racing distance and surface are however largely dependent on the physiology of the horse.

Our tools have been developed by Equine Analysis Systems to provide objective assessment of a horse’s racing potential. This reduces the need for Breeders, Buyers, Owners and Trainers to rely solely on subjective and traditional evaluation that is likely to carry arbitrary elements and is difficult to apply systematically across a large population of horses and over time. More crucially, traditional evolution has significant limitations in identifying and assessing vital factors determining a horse's ability to compete at the highest level.

Our services are based on a number of tools and analyses that originate from extensive research and development carried out by members of the management team, often during many years. The analysis we are conducting are proprietary and world leading, and are all, on its own, able to provide substantial incremental value. In combination however, the tools provide an unparalleled ability to accurately assess a horse's potential to compete at Gr1 level, as well as providing comprehensive physiological and genetical information that will prove very valuable in improving success rates and optimising bloodstock management.
